CLOSING TO QUERIES

I will be closed to all unsolicited queries from February 1st, 2012 and will reopen on April 1st, 2012

Anyone who has sent me queries, or requested partials/full manuscripts before February 1st will still be considered.

If I meet you at a conference and request your work, it is considered a solicited query and will definitely be considered.

I am heading to South Africa (second week of Feb.) to visit family, promote literacy, meet with local publishers, educate South African writers and to help stock a library for underprivileged mothers and children at a local shelter in Cape Town.

While I am there (5 weeks), I will continue to work with my clients, read their work and communicate with editors. This will leave little time for the query pile.

Thanks for understanding.

* UPDATE: If I have requested a full or offered a revise and resubmit, please feel free to send your work to me.

Thanks for the update. I'm wondering if your one to four week response time for queries still holds? I'm waiting for a response from early December.

If I receive an offer during the time you're away, do you want to be notified?

Hope you have a wonderful trip!

You should have received an answer to your query if sent in December.
But I will take another look. If you do not hear from me by tomorrow, please resend. Make sure it is to the new address: Louise@lperkinsagency.com

Thank you for responding. I seem to wind up in spam a lot, for some reason. I'll re-query tomorrow if I don't hear from you.

Ms. Fury-
You probably don't remember me, but I met you briefly at the editors panel at the New Jersey PYHIB conference. I remember you saying something about this trip and just wanted to say good luck. What you are doing is outstanding.Safe travels.

That is fabulous! Will you take some pictures and share them with us?

I don't want to pester you and hope that I'm not. You requested a partial for my YA at the NJ conference. I think I sent it to the wrong address in October but resent it to what I hope is the correct email two weeks ago.

I'm worried I've been lost in the black hole of the internet.

Have a wonderful and fulfilling trip.
Trying not to be a bother,

Hi, I emailed a query on Sunday 23 January (South African time). Was I in time to be considered?
Anyway, I hope you have a blast in Cape Town! We need more people here that do the kind of work you do.
